As Chair to Netherton Park neighbourhood centre, on behalf of all the Trustees, I would like to thank Marie Savin and her wonderful team of staff and dedicated volunteers, for all their hard work over the past year, where their focus has been to serve the local community especially the vulnerable, working tirelessly obtaining donations, fetching and carrying supplies to make up food, cleaning and treat hampers, out in all weathers delivering and checking on the community.
Over this uncertain year we have been entertained with dancing keep fit and visits from land girls and boys delivering goodie bags, Santa and his helpers, and the latest from Our very own Easter bunny putting smiles on our children’s faces. Behind the scenes the centre has still been offering personal support and our Cloud exchange has been a great help to many.
Just the logistics of organising storage and making up of hampers let alone delivering them has been a mammoth task, often people putting in these hours are doing this unpaid. So from the Board and I’m sure the community a big thank you to you all.
