What a day we had at Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre!
Our FUN DAY, held in partnership with One Vision Housing, brought everyone together for a brilliant day full of fun, food, activities and plenty of smiles.
From the moment people arrived, there was something going on. The inflatables were a big hit, there was face painting, crafts, plenty of food and our snack bar was kept busy throughout the day.
We were also joined by J Louise from Boogie Funtimes Parties, who brought even more fun and energy to the day. There was lots of music, dancing and getting involved, and it was fantastic to see everyone joining in and enjoying themselves.
One of our favourite parts of the day came from our wonderful volunteers, who came up with the idea of making toasted waffles. They were served with some very tasty choices, including chocolate spread, maple syrup, cream and strawberries. At just 50p each, they proved to be a big hit!
But it wasn’t just about having something tasty to eat. Our volunteers decided that the money raised from the waffles would go towards Breast Cancer support, and we’re delighted to say that they raised an amazing £100.
It’s moments like this that make days like our FUN DAY so special. It wasn’t just the activities we had planned, but the ideas, generosity and effort from the people who helped make the day happen.
And the fundraising didn’t stop there. Altogether, we raised a whopping £642 on the day!
We honestly couldn’t have done it without everyone who came along, supported the event, bought something from the snack bar, enjoyed the activities, donated or helped out. Every bit of support helped make the day what it was.
It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, meet new people and have families and members of our local community enjoying the Centre together. Everyone was welcome, and that’s exactly how we wanted it to be.

£642 raised, £100 going towards Breast Cancer support, plenty of waffles eaten and lots of happy memories made,we’d say that’s a pretty successful day!
